RIO JAVARI
From river expeditions to tribal encounters — choose the Amazon experience that speaks to your spirit.
Option A
River Explorer Experience
This private and flexible boat tour is perfect for those who want to explore the Amazon’s river systems in depth, at their own pace. Depending on the weather, your interests, and comfort level, we sleep in simple jungle lodges with beds or in hammocks.
It’s an ideal adventure to discover the rich aquatic life of the rivers and enjoy some hiking — although trails may be limited between January and June, during the high-water season. If time allows, we can venture further into the wild to explore additional rivers and remote areas rarely visited.
Group tours can be arranged on request, in collaboration with other operators, but a private expedition remains the best way to fully experience this unique journey.

Option B
Immersion with the Matis Tribe
A powerful alternative is to spend several days with the Matis people, a community that has only recently begun to open up to the outside world. On this journey, we mostly sleep in hammocks or simple jungle cabins (lodges available upon request), and take part in the daily life of the community: swimming, fishing, hunting, and preparing rapé — a traditional sacred snuff used in rituals.
It’s an intense, rare, and deeply human experience — perfect for travelers seeking connection and authenticity. Discover ancestral crafts, witness traditional ceremonies, and gain a unique perspective on nature and indigenous spirituality.
